Collection of general information

Our website automatically collects general data from the accessing party each time it is visited. Such data is referred to as server log files. This provides information, for example, about the web browser used or the operating system of the accessing party, plus additional information such as the specific service provider used. Without exception, this type of information does not make any assertions about the person who accesses our website. However, this is important and unavoidable technical information that guarantees that the website functions and is displayed correctly on the respective device used. This anonymous data is subject to a statistical analysis by us in order to optimise our website and our technology.

Cookies

We also use cookies. These are packets of text that transfer information and settings from our website, for example, to improve navigation or to optimise the display, to our website visitors in their web servers. We use Usercentrics' cookie consent technology to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your device or to the use of certain technologies, and to document said consent in compliance with data protection regulations. Cookies do not spread viruses or malware to PCs. However, cookies collect non-personal information via the Internet connection, operating system and IP address, for example. Furthermore, Usercentrics stores a cookie in your browser to enable assignment of the consent granted, and revocation thereof, to you. This data is not passed on to third parties and is not associated with personal information without the consent of the website visitor.

It is also possible to visit our website by only consenting to functional cookies. If the use of cookies is disabled, you may not be able to use all of the functions available on our website. Usercentrics is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is GDPR Article 6(1)(1)(c).

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Usercentrics. This is an agreement stipulated by data protection regulations which ensures that Usercentrics processes our website visitors’ personal data solely in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

SSL encryption

We use the latest encryption methods according to the HTTPS standard, for example SSL. This way we can safeguard data transfers and protect information that has been sent.

Newsletter

Personal data that is specified when registering for our newsletter is not used for other purposes. If the subscriber needs to be contacted regarding the newsletter or registration, this can be done by email.

For this reason, a valid email address must be specified in order to complete the steps of the registration process. Furthermore, we use the “double opt-in” procedure for the registration process to function correctly to check whether the owner of the specified email address has registered themselves or has consented to this. We log the data generated therefrom (excluding information about newsletter subscription, dispatch of confirmation mail, receipt of response). This data is earmarked for newsletter dispatch and is not passed on to third parties. The subscriber can revoke his/her consent to the storage and use of personal data for newsletter dispatch at any time. This can be done via the link provided in every newsletter, directly on our website or using the contact address at the bottom of this data privacy statement.

This website uses CleverReach for sending newsletters. The provider is CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede. CleverReach is a service with which the sending of newsletters can be organized and analyzed. The data entered by you for the purpose of newsletter subscription (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on the servers of CleverReach in Germany or Ireland. Our newsletters sent with CleverReach allow us to analyze the behavior of the newsletter recipients. Among other things, we can analyze how many recipients opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked on. With the help of the so-called conversion tracking, it can also be analyzed whether a previously defined action (e.g. purchase of a product on this website) has taken place after clicking the link in the newsletter. Further information about data analysis by CleverReach newsletter can be found at: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/features/reporting-tracking/

Contact form

The data entered each time you contact us, by email or using the contact form, provided for the purpose of such, is stored in order to process your query or any other follow-up questions that might arise.

Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyse our website. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on the PC of the website visitor and used to facilitate an analysis of his/her use of the website. Google Inc. usually processes and stores the data generated therefrom in the USA. However, IP anonymisation is activated on our website. As a result, Google Inc. locates and abbreviates the IP address of the website visitor within member states of the European Union or other parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area.  In exceptional cases only, the complete IP address may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is ultimately truncated and thus located in the above territory.

By commissioning Google Analytics, this data is used to analyse website use and activity, to compile this information in reports, and to provide additional services associated with the use of the website and the Internet. Here, the IP address of the website user transmitted to Google Inc. is not associated with any other data held by Google Inc.

All web browsers give you the option to change cookie settings or to disable their use. However, please note that the website visitor may not be able to use all of the site functions if cookies are disabled. The browser plug-in, which can be installed and downloaded at the following link, prevents the information generated by cookies, which makes assertions about the visitor’s usage behaviour, from being collected or processed further by Google Inc.: browser plug-in for deactivating Google Analytics.

Alternatively, by clicking the following link, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website whereby an opt-out cookie is installed on the device used by the website visitor. Provided that this cookie is activated in the web browser, the activities of Google Analytics will be blocked in this web browser.

Use of Google Ads

We use Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising platform of Google Inc.

Google Ads allows us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites if the user enters certain search terms in Google. This is referred to as keyword targeting. Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed on the basis of the user data available from Google (e.g. location data and interests): Target group targeting. LAMILUX, as the website operator, can evaluate such data quantitatively, whereby we analyse which search terms led to our advertisements being displayed and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.

Google Ads is used on the basis of GDPR Article 6(1)(f). The website operator has a legitimate interest in marketing its services and products as effectively as possible.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Details are available here:

https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Use of remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing. The provider is Google Inc.

Google Remarketing analyses user behaviour on our website such as clicks on certain products. This is done in order to classify users into specific advertising target groups and then display suitable advertising messages to them when said users visit other online offers (remarketing or retargeting).

Furthermore, it is possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Remarketing to functions of Google across different devices. This also allows interest-related, personalised advertising messages – which have been tailored to the user on one device (e.g. mobile phone) depending on previous usage and surfing behaviour – to be displayed on another device of the user (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have a Google account, you can object to personalised advertising via the following link:

https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

Google Remarketing is used on the basis of GDPR Article 6(1)(f). LAMILUX has a legitimate interest in marketing its products as effectively as possible. If the relevant consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information and the data protection provisions are available in Google's privacy policy:

https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

Target group formation involving customer comparison
We use the customer comparison function of Google Remarketing to form target groups. We transfer certain customer data to Google in this regard. Such data includes email addresses from our customer lists. If the customers in question are Google users and are logged in to their Google account, they will be shown appropriate advertising messages within the Google Network (e.g. on YouTube, Gmail or in the search engine).

Use of Google reCAPTCHA

We use "Google reCAPTCHA" (hereinafter referred to as "reCAPTCHA") on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

reCAPTCHA is used to verify that data entered on this website (e.g. in a contact form) is entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various features. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, duration of the website visitor on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analysis runs entirely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.

Data storage and analysis is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated scraping and from SPAM. If a corresponding consent has been obtained, processing will only take place based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

For further information on Google reCAPTCHA, please refer to the Google privacy policy and the Google terms of use at the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=en.

Use of Adobe Typekit

We use Adobe Typekit to support us in the visual design of our website. This service provided by Adobe Systems Software Ireland Ltd. gives us access to a library of fonts. In order to use these fonts on our website, the web browser of the website visitor must download the font from an Adobe server located in the USA. As a result, the IP address of the website visitor is transmitted to Adobe. Adobe’s data privacy statement can be viewed at the following link: www.adobe.com/privacy/typekit.html

Use of Google Maps

We use the Google Maps API to visualise graphical information. Here too, Google Inc. collects and processes data of the website user in relation to use of the map functions. The data privacy statement of Google Inc. can be viewed at the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Users can define their personal settings for the collection and further processing of their information in the data protection centre located here.

You can also use the above link to get different instructions on how to adjust your own data protection information when using Google products.

Embedded YouTube videos

We use embedding via YouTube to display some videos on our website. The corresponding plug-in is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA94066, USA. The active YouTube plug-in connects the relevant website to the YouTube servers when visited. This allows YouTube to see which websites are accessed by a user. A personal assignment of the user’s surfing behaviour can even be made provided that he/she is still logged in to his/her YouTube account. This can be prevented by logging out beforehand.

YouTube uses the activity of cookies, once a video has started, to obtain information about the consumer’s usage behaviour.

Disabling cookies for the Google Ad program also prevents YouTube from being able to use such cookies. However, YouTube uses other cookies to obtain non-personal data. This can be prevented by blocking the storage of cookies in the browser.

The data privacy statement of YouTube can be viewed at the following link:

https://policies.google.com/privacy

Embedded Vimeo videos

This website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a Vimeo video, a connection is made to the Vimeo servers. This informs the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. In addition, Vimeo acquires your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The information collected by Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA.

If you are logged into your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

Vimeo uses cookies or similar recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting) to recognize website visitors.
The use of Vimeo is in the interest of a visually appealing presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If an appropriate consent has been requested, the processing will only be carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 Para. 1 TTDSG, if the consent covers the storage of cookies or the access to information on the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contract clauses of the EU Commission and, according to Vimeo, on "legitimate business interests". For more details, please see: https://vimeo.com/privacy.

For more information on the handling of user data, please see the Vimeo privacy policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy.
