The LAMILUX Glass Skylight F100 Circular has always been ventilated, but now concealed drives can also be integrated. In addition, a new type of upstand makes it possible to incline the element by three degrees. This has visual and functional advantages.
An inclined upstand for round Glass Skylights has not been available as a standard solution - until now. With the top surface of a slanting cylinder being the shape of an ellipse, instead of a perfect circle, the laws of geometry needed to be bypassed. LAMILUX has found a solution to this problem and can now reveal a new type of upstand available for round Glass Skylights.
With its 3° inclination and the Structural Glazing Construction, the new LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE provides for an even drainage. The result: A clear view into the sky and maximum incidence of daylight at all times.
What for some is the garden, for others is their roof terrace - at best with a direct and comfortable access. LAMILUX now has a new third flat roof exit in its repertoire, which is even more luxurious and space-saving.
The three daylight systems could hardly be more different, yet all three have won the German Design Award in the "Building and Elements" category: The Glass Skylight F100 Circular with concealed chain propulsion drive and Ventilation Flap PR60 for glass roofs received the “Winner” award, while the Flat Roof Exit Comfort Swing for roof terraces was given a “Special Mention”.
As the climate changes, extreme weather events are not only increasing, they are also becoming ever more devastating in their impact. It therefore stands to reason that the loads and requirements placed on buildings and their individual components by wind and rain are also increasing. This is why LAMILUX daylight systems have been specially tested for their resistance to extreme weather events.
The LAMILUX Glass Skylight F100 Circular has always been ventilated, but now it is also possible to integrate concealed drives. This provides visual and functional benefits.
It's only been on the market since April and it’s already received four awards: The new LAMILUX Glass Skylight FE impressed the juries of the Red Dot Award, the German Design Award and the Plus X Award (twice in fact). But even func-tionally, the skylight has been modified once again to ensure that it now offi-cially offers Passivhaus classification and conditional accessibility.
At BAU 2019, LAMILUX will be appearing as a group of companies for the first time at a joint exhibition stand. The daylight specialist LAMILUX from Rehau has also had the steel and glass specialist Mirotec among its ranks since 2015 and the lighting and ventilation manufacturer roda for almost a year now. LAMILUX will be presenting several new products to visitors at the world's leading trade fair.
Once again, the jury of the Red Dot Award honours the Rehau daylight specialist LAMILUX. Following the LAMILUX CI System Prism LED/Reflective, the LAMILUX CI System Glass Element F100 in round design now receives the internationally recognised quality seal.
