roda becomes part of the LAMILUX Group
On 1 January 2018, LAMILUX acquired roda. The group consists of roda Licht- und Lufttechnik GmbH, which is based in Langenau (roda Süd) and Isernhagen-Kirchhorst (roda Nord), as well as the company Emmericher E.M.B Products AG. As a result of the acquisition, the family-run company located in Rehau has grown by around 120 employees.

LAMILUX has taken part in the survey ‘Research and development of companies in Germany 2015’. The Founder Association of German Economy, performing this evaluation every year, appreciates the research activity of LAMILUX by handing over the seal of quality ‘Innovation through research’.
INAUGURATION OF 20 MILLION INVESTMENT IN REHAU
LAMILUX is expanding and investing: In recent months, the family-managed company built a new production plant for fibre-reinforced plastics and a new office building at its administration and production site in Rehau. A total of 20 million euros went into the two projects. Attended by the Bavarian State Minister of Finance, State Development and Homeland, Dr. Markus Söder, the official inauguration and commissioning ceremony has now been celebrated.
DR. HEINRICH STRUNZ CALLED TO JOIN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S HIGH-TECH FORUM
Dr. Heinrich Strunz, the CEO of LAMILUX and vice president of the Chamber of Commerce (IHK) for Upper Franconia, has been appointed to the federal government's "High-Tech Forum". The committee, which is studded with high-ranking representatives from science, industry and various sectors of society acts in an advisory function, supporting the Ministry of Education's high-tech strategy, which was launched at the beginning of this legislature period. Dr. Heinrich Strunz's appointment at this time is attributable to his successful work as a medium-sized family business owner, as well as his role as head of the DIHK Industry and Research expert committee.
LAMILUX ACHIEVES HIGHEST TURNOVER IN COMPANY HISTORY
2014 was again a year of growth for LAMILUX: With sales totalling 190.5 million euros, the family business achieved the highest figures in the company's history, an increase of almost nine percent compared to last year. Recruiting of new staff across all skill levels continued unabated: LAMILUX now has 700 employees, 83 of them young apprentices – equivalent to an excellent quota of almost twelve percent. In addition, the company has invested heavily in its administrative and production site in Rehau.
